A Journey of Service, Leadership, and Sisterhood
Sorors, I am not just a candidate, but a passionate member of the Chicago Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. I am running for president because I believe in our power, our mission, and the incredible potential that lies within each one of us.
From the moment I joined this illustrious sorority, I was moved by the profound legacy of service, leadership, and community impact that defines us. We are not just a chapter; we are a movement. As servant leaders and change agents, we have made significant strides since our chartering, but I believe it's time to take our efforts to the next level.
Why am I the right candidate for this role? Because I share the same excitement and vision for what we can achieve together. The impact we have had is just the beginning. With your support, I want to harness the dynamic and powerful spirit of the women in CMAC. We have so much untapped potential, and our sorors have so much to offer.
Together, we can leverage the strength of our 30+ chapters represented within CMAC to ensure that we maintain an unrelenting focus on excellence in service. It is crucial that we not only continue our work but also amplify it, reaching further into our communities and making a bigger difference.
I am ready to roll up my sleeves, to listen, to lead, and to collaborate with each and every one of you. Let's channel the collective power of CMAC and transform our passion into action. It's time for us to step forward, united and stronger than ever.
Let's do this, sorors! Let’s make our next chapter the most impactful yet. Together, we are unstoppable.

As we stand together on the brink of a pivotal journey, it is crucial that you grasp not only the "why" of my campaign but the "how" we will elevate the Chicago Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter to unprecedented heights.
My promise to you—each passionate, visionary soror of CMAC—is to open new doors for development and leadership. We will cultivate an environment where every soror has the tools and confidence to thrive and contribute meaningfully while growing within Delta. By promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation, through internal DIDs, workshops and joint events, we will unite our diverse talents to forge a stronger, cohesive chapter.
Service is the cornerstone of our mission. My vision involves initiating new service projects and enhancing our current programs to meet the urgent needs of our community. We aim to set high but attainable goals, enhancing our impact and solidifying our reputation as committed agents of change. Stronger partnerships with local organizations will amplify our efforts, bringing more resources and broader visibility to our projects.
Our sisterhood thrives on inclusivity. I am committed to creating an environment where every soror feels valued, heard, and connected. My goal is to strengthen our bonds and ensure that every member feels an integral part of our vibrant chapter. In addition, our service projects will be designed to maximize impact while fostering sisterhood. By working side-by-side on initiatives that help our community, we not only do good but also grow closer as a group. Every project will be an opportunity to connect, share experiences, and reinforce our commitment to service and to each other.
In essence, this campaign is a call to action. It's about actualizing our ideals and sculpting a future that mirrors our collective values and dreams. It is a commitment from every soror that we will actively participate and take pride in our combined achievements as a chapter.
Let's advance with purpose, passion, and persistence. Together, we will continue our legacy of service and sisterhood and climb to new heights of success. I’m ready sorors…let’s go!
My bond with Delta Sigma Theta has been a constant thread of growth and service since my initiation in Spring 1993 at the Theta Zeta Chapter, Eastern Illinois University. Serving as Technology Chair and a proud member of the Minerva Circle in the Chicago Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter and Chicago Alumnae Chapter, as well as past roles such as Chair of the Nominating Committee and Assistant Financial Secretary, I have embraced the multifaceted aspects of our sisterhood.
With over 25 years in strategic and non-profit leadership, I have navigated a path where passion meets purpose. My current role as Executive Director at Storycatchers Theatre encapsulates a dedication to meaningful change, leading both the internal team and external functions with a budget just under $2 million. My tenure at Grow Your Own Illinois as Chief of Staff and my impactful years as Chief Learning Officer at i.c.stars have shaped a leader who values collaboration, strategic growth, and the pursuit of equity, inclusion, and diversity.
I believe in the power of education as a tool for empowerment and change. Holding an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago, with concentrations in Human Resources, Strategic Management, and Marketing, a Master of Arts in Education from National Louis University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Eastern Illinois University has armed me with a blend of business acumen and educational insight.
