A Message from Tasha
Leadership, at its core, is about stewardship. It is about understanding what has been entrusted to you, honoring it, and leaving it stronger than you found it. I stepped into this role with a clear understanding of the responsibility it carries and a deep appreciation for the trust you placed in me. I have never taken that support lightly, and I have approached this role with both humility and intention. CMAC is a chapter grounded in legacy, strengthened by experience, and guided by women who are deeply committed to the principles of Delta Sigma Theta. That foundation has allowed us to move with purpose while continuing to shape what this chapter will become. Over the past two years, the focus has been on leading with intention and consistency. Not just on what we do, but how we do it. Maintaining strong structure, reinforcing alignment, and ensuring that our programs and partnerships reflect both our values and our purpose. Leadership also requires reflection. Taking the time to understand what is working, where we can deepen our impact, and how we continue to show up for one another in meaningful and authentic ways. As I look ahead, the focus remains clear. To continue leading with care, clarity, and a steady commitment to this chapter. To build on the foundation already in place and to move forward in ways that are thoughtful, sustainable, and aligned with who we are. It has been an honor to serve, and I remain committed to continuing the work.
Results You Can Point To
Progress should be visible. It should be felt. And it should be measurable.Over the past two years, our focus has been on strengthening operations, expanding partnerships, and delivering programming with intention and impact. The work speaks for itself.
The next term is about depth, alignment, and execution.
- Deepening sisterhood and expanding engagement opportunities
- Building on and strengthening strategic partnerships
- Continuing to deliver high-quality, impactful programming
- Strengthening our leadership pipeline to support long-term sustainability
- Leading with intention and purpose in all that we do
Leadership is not a title. It is how you show up.
Strategic Operations & Organizational Structure
Sustainable growth requires both intention and infrastructure. I have focused on strengthening systems and governance to ensure CMAC operates efficiently today and is positioned to scale responsibly in the future.
Intentional Sisterhood & Member Engagement
A chapter is only as strong as its bonds. I focused on transparent communication, meaningful mentorship, and creating spaces where sorors feel truly seen, heard, and valued.
Purposeful Programming & Partnerships
Programming is guided by intention, alignment, and impact. Each initiative is thoughtfully designed to reflect the priorities of Delta Sigma Theta and align with CMAC’s strategic plan, ensuring our work is both meaningful and mission-driven.
Consistent Presence & Accountable Leadership
Leadership is showing up. From chapter meetings to community service, I’ve been present, engaged, and transparent—following through and modeling accountability.
